Frequently Asked Questions
  • What should I bring to my first session?

Please bring your prescription, insurance card, and a change of clothing. If you are being seen for a neck or an upper extremity issue please bring a tank top or loose fitting t-shirt. If you are being seen for a lower extremity issue please bring shorts. We kindly ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment in order to allot time to change and fill out any necessary paperwork.

  • How long are appointments?

Your initial evaluation will last about 1 hour.  Subsequent one-on-one follow-up treatments will be approximately 45 minutes.

  • Will I be exercising on my first visit?

If your pain does not prohibit it then yes you will be exercising during your first visit.

  • Do I have access to the gym for therapy?

Yes!  We use the full complement of equipment available at CompleteBody Health and Wellness Club during our sessions.  A perk for all active patients is a complimentary gym membership for the duration of rehab.

  • Do I have a changing room and/or shower?

We have a private changing room located in our office equipped with a shower and locker for your convenience.  The gym’s locker room facilities are also available to all active patients.

  • Do you accept insurance?

We accept most major medical plans that have out-of-network benefits. Please call us at 212-248-3030 or email us at info@completebody.com so that we may verify your benefits and address any billing questions you may have.

  • Do I need a prescription?

Under New York State’s Direct Access Law you may be treated by a physical therapist without a prescription for up to 10 visits or 30 days, whichever comes first. If you require additional sessions beyond that point you will need to obtain a prescription for continued care. Please note that while NYS allows for Direct Access, you should check with your insurance to verify if they still require a prescription in order for you to be financially covered.
